Wonder belongs beside a source ledger

PrintMason aims to make difficult technology inviting without turning confidence into evidence. This is the working standard for research, review, AI-assisted visuals, corrections, safety, and commercial independence.

01Documented

Direct evidence from standards, official records, measurements, primary technical documentation, or well-supported archaeological context.

02Interpreted

A reasoned explanation that connects documented evidence. Competing interpretations and assumptions should remain visible.

03Open question

Evidence is incomplete or multiple explanations remain plausible. Unknown does not make every explanation equally likely.

04Speculative concept

A future proposal, visual hypothesis, or experiment prompt. It is not presented as present capability, historical fact, approval, or funded work.

Source hierarchy

Use the source that can answer the claim.

Technical guides favor standards bodies, regulators, government laboratories, peer-reviewed research, universities, and primary technical documentation. Manufacturer pages are appropriate for documenting that company’s stated product, project, or status; they are not independent proof of every performance claim.

Heritage work favors official site records, archaeological research, conservation guidance, and community context. Exploratory creators such as BassForge may identify questions worth testing, but they do not replace archaeological evidence.

What “reviewed” means

An editorial check, not engineering qualification.

Terms follow standards or established disciplinary usage where practical.
Important factual claims are connected to numbered sources or a visible source shelf.
Company claims, market estimates, and live terms are dated and labeled as such.
Safety, code, qualification, heritage-authority, and professional boundaries are visible where relevant.
Images are checked for misleading technical or historical implications and labeled as editorial visualizations.
A review date records a substantive editorial pass, not merely a site rebuild.

AI-assisted imagery

Illustration never proves the claim

PrintMason’s current editorial image library is AI-generated. Images are used to orient, compare, imagine, and communicate; they are not manufacturer photographs, records of a real facility, archaeological evidence, or proof that a proposed machine or building works. Technical frames receive human editorial review, and known limitations stay in captions or disclosures.

Restrained geometric motifs inspired by craft traditions may appear as artistic details. They do not encode authority, membership, historical evidence, or an organizational endorsement.

Safety and reliance

Education is not a task-level approval

Guides do not replace supplier instructions, safety data sheets, ventilation assessment, machine training, task-level risk review, test data, licensed design or engineering, code approval, conservation authority, or qualified professional judgment. Application-specific warnings remain more important than this general boundary.

Money and conflicts

Payment cannot purchase a conclusion

No outbound link on the current site is configured or labeled as an affiliate link. If affiliate, sponsored, gifted, or paid relationships begin, they will be disclosed beside the relevant recommendation. Payment will not purchase an evidence label, favorable conclusion, omission of limitations, or source status.

Corrections and updates

Make the trail easy to repair.

Send the page address, the statement at issue, the proposed correction, and the strongest source available. Substantive corrections should update the review date; material changes will be described on the affected guide as the correction log is introduced. Quiet typographic fixes do not become a new evidence review.
